Got a headache?

Headaches can make everything feel heavier — and sometimes, the tension shows up right in your neck, shoulders, and jaw.
I suffer with headaches and to minimise them I make sure I stay well hydrated, make sure I have a pillow that correctly aligns my neck and also get regular monthly massages.
The best massage for tight neck and shoulders that I offer, I think is the Thai Stretch Massage. There is a great seated shoulder compression move where I compress the top of the shoulders and it gives such relief! The side lying shoulder and arm stretches release tension in this area too - areas that are rarely reached during a usual oiled massage. I do incorporate these shoulder stretches in some of my standard massages too as a lot of my clients are tight in this area.
A good scalp massage and eyebrow pinching and holding is another effective move that I do in all my treatments to relieve headaches. The seated Indian Head Massage is an obvious treatment to choose if you only want attention concentrated on this area!
