What are 4 habits to slow ageing?

As a massage and organic facial therapist, I often get asked how to slow down the visible signs of ageing without relying on harsh treatments. The good news is that your skin responds beautifully to consistent, natural care. Here are 4 key signs to focus on—and how to support your skin in ageing well.

1. Loss of Firmness

One of the earliest signs of ageing is a gradual loss of elasticity, especially around the cheeks and jawline. This happens as collagen production slows. By booking in a regular facial lift massage with me, it can help stimulate circulation, tone facial muscles, and encourage a naturally lifted appearance over time.

2. Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Expression lines are a normal part of life, but they can deepen when skin becomes dehydrated or stressed. I use Neal's Yard organic, nutrient-rich oils during my facial treatments which helps nourish the skin, while massage techniques soften tension held in the face—often a hidden cause of deeper lines.

3. Dull or Uneven Skin Tone

Healthy skin should have a natural glow. When circulation slows or dead skin builds up, the complexion can appear tired. In my facials, I use the gentle Neal's Yard Rose Facial Polish exfoliator - this combined with massage boosts blood flow, delivering oxygen and nutrients to the skin for a brighter, more even tone.

4. Tension in the Face and Neck

Many people don’t realise how much stress they carry in their face. Jaw clenching, brow tension, and tight neck muscles can all contribute to premature ageing. My popular targeted facial lift massage treatment releases this tension, improving both appearance and overall wellbeing.

Should I get a Thai Stretch Massage?

The answer is often yes—more often than people expect.

Thai yoga massage is a unique, dynamic treatment that combines assisted stretching, acupressure, and mindful movement.

Unlike traditional massage, you remain fully clothed while I guide your body through a series of gentle, yoga-inspired stretches. It is both deeply relaxing and energising.

This style of massage is especially beneficial for people who feel stiff, tight, or restricted in their movement. If you spend long hours sitting at a desk, experience tension in your back, shoulders, or hips, or simply feel “stuck” in your body, Thai yoga massage can help restore fluidity and ease. It encourages better posture, improved circulation, and a greater sense of body awareness.

It is also ideal for those who struggle to switch off mentally. The rhythmic, flowing nature of the treatment, combined with mindful breathing, can help calm the nervous system and bring you into a more grounded state. Many clients describe feeling both deeply relaxed and re-energised afterwards.

You do not need to be flexible or experienced in yoga to benefit. The treatment is always adapted to your body, your comfort level, and your individual needs.

If you are curious, I always recommend trying a session and noticing how your body responds. Sometimes, the most effective treatments are the ones that invite you to move, breathe, and reconnect with yourself in a completely new way.  Book your Thai Stretch Massage Here

What are the benefits of combining a Facial and a Massage?

Combining massage and facial treatments offers a range of holistic benefits that enhance overall well-being and promotes relaxation. Book in my Pamper Package or Rejuvenation Package to see and feel the benefits.

1. Enhanced Relaxation

Both treatments promote relaxation, helping to reduce stress and anxiety. The combination can lead to a deeper state of calm, benefiting both the mind and body.

2. Improved Circulation

Massage increases blood flow, which can enhance the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the skin. This, when paired with facial treatments, can improve skin tone and texture.

3. Pain Relief

For clients experiencing tension headaches or facial tension, combining a facial massage with body massage can target specific areas of discomfort, providing relief plus complemented by a scalp massage

4. Boosted Mood and Emotional Health

The release of endorphins during both treatments can elevate mood and promote feelings of happiness and relaxation, contributing to emotional well-being.

5. Enhanced Skin Health

Regular combination treatments can lead to long-term improvements in skin health, including reduced signs of aging, improved hydration, and a more radiant complexion
